We invite you to a dedicated day for caregivers; with valuable resources, enlightening educational sessions, and the support you truly deserve. This event is designed for everyone involved in caregiving, whether you’re caring for a loved one at home or working in a professional caregiving capacity. Engage in expert-led workshops, connect with reliable vendors, listen to the encouraging words of our guest speaker, Joan Lunden, and acquire practical tools to help you navigate the challenges and rewards of caregiving. This expo is not just an event; it’s an opportunity to enhance your skills, foster community connections, and empower yourself in your caregiving journey. We’ve crafted this day with you in mind because your commitment deserves both recognition and support.

This event is made possible by the generous efforts of Exhale: the Family Caregiver Initiative, which funds innovative and collaborative projects to enhance respite opportunities for caregivers of older adults. The Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association is one of 11 organizations awarded the grant in Southeast Michigan. The only one in St. Clair County.

Since its inception in 2019, Exhale has supported 16 projects across New York and Southeast Michigan, developed by 90 different organizations. With funding from partners like the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation and managed by The Philanthropic Initiative, Exhale aims to help caregivers find relief. Early findings indicate significant impact—98% of caregivers surveyed report improved support and access to respite services.
